1. What is Polish pottery?

Polish pottery is a unique, handmade ceramic craft, traditionally produced in Bolesławiec, Poland, since the Middle Ages. It is famous globally for its durability, vibrant hand-stamped decorations, and functionality.

2. Is Baltica Cerámica the official manufacturer?

No. Baltica Cerámica is an authorized, dedicated retailer based in Barcelona. We carefully select and source authentic, original Polish Pottery directly from the renowned "Ceramika Artystyczna" cooperative in Bolesławiec.

3. Why are the prices higher than mass-produced ceramics?

Polish Pottery is a true form of artistic handicraft. Each piece is individually formed, hand-decorated, and fired at extremely high temperatures. The process is labor-intensive, justifying the price as you are investing in a durable, unique, and functional collectible.

Care & usage

4. Can I use the pottery in the oven and microwave?

Yes. Our ceramics are fired at very high temperatures, making them safe for use in ovens, microwaves, and dishwashers.

5. Are there any temperature precautions I should follow?

Yes. Avoid thermal shock. Never place a ceramic item directly from the refrigerator into a hot oven or microwave, and do not place the pottery directly on an open flame, ceramic, or induction hob. Extreme, sudden temperature changes can cause damage.

6. Do you have a physical store in Barcelona?

No, Baltica Cerámica is currently an online-only store. Our full logistics and stock management are operated from our base in Barcelona.

7. How do you ensure the pottery arrives safely?

Safety is our top priority. We use a double-layer protection method: each item is wrapped in bubble wrap and packed inside robust few-layer cardboard boxes, ensuring maximum protection during transit.

8. Why is there reused bubble wrap in my package?

As part of our commitment to sustainability and economical packaging, we reuse clean, high-quality bubble wrap that we receive from the manufacturer in Poland. This helps us reduce waste and minimize our environmental footprint.
